Job Function:

 

• To monitor the smooth operation in the outside areas of the CGP comprising Gas Absorption Plant and associated facilities.

• To operate equipment such as Pumps, Turbo compressors, Exchangers, Furnace and the Fire Fighting system.

• To assist in the start-ups, shutdowns, and emergency operations and in the preparation of equipment for Maintenance.

 

About the Job:

 

•  Gets handover from previous CGP Operator and reads turnover book and daily orders book. Writes turnover at completion of shift.  Collects instrument data and records readings on log sheets.

•  Closely monitors the operation of the Plant equipment.

• Tours areas throughout the shift and carries out routine checks and work on all CGP equipment. Ensure all the Standing Instructions are followed, and records are updated.

• Liaises closely with CGP Control man for any changes in the operating conditions.

• Collects samples as per the sampling schedule.

• Isolates/prepares equipment and area for maintenance work (Hot and Cold), lubricates machinery and maintains Good Housekeeping of the area.

•  Participates in equipment shutdown and start-up.

•  Investigates and reports any abnormal conditions.  Assists Co-ordinate with Control man / Shift Supervisor to troubleshoot and take corrective action.

• Handles chemicals; maintains correct levels of chemicals and prepares batches and Maintain chemical record.

 

About the Candidate:

 

• Bahraini (Nationality).

• Fluent speak and write Arabic and English.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Chemical or Mechanical engineering or its equivalent, plus specialist course and specialized training (6 months to 1 year classroom training, 2 years on job training, and worked atleast 2 years as assistant operator).

• Minimum 4 years of operating experience in Refining, LPG, or LNG/ Petrochemical Plant.

• Ability to interpret instrument data.

• Ability to read and comprehend policies, and procedures in English.

• Knowledge of Standard Operating Procedures, Process utility systems, Instrumentation and mechanical, Communication skills, QMS, SHE and Emergency procedures.

• Possess a valid driving license.
