WINNER OF ROSPA “ 2022 HEALTH AND SAFETY AWARD”

The Bahrain National Gas Company BSC Closed, recently awarded the “2022 Health and Safety Award for the Oil and Gas Industry Sector” from The Royal Society for Prevention of Accident (RoSPA) in the United Kingdom, in recognition of the Company’s outstanding Health and Safety Performance during the period of January 01, 2021 to December 31, 2021. RoSPA Awards are one of the most prestigious and recognized programs in the world with nearly 2,000 entries each year from 50 countries. RoSPA Award-winning organizations are also recognized as a global leaders in health and safety practices.

At a ceremony organized by RoSPA in the United Kingdom to honor distinguished companies and institutions in the field of health, safety and environment, Dr. Sh. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive, received the “Health and safety Award for Oil and Gas Industry Sector” from Mr. Errol Taylor, RoSPA Chief Executive.

This achievement is a valuable addition by the Company as these prestigious international safety awards underscore the Company's dedication towards following health and safety guidelines and practices which are internationally renowned.

During the ceremony, Dr. Sh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa made the following statement: “It is with great honor and privilege that I receive this award on Company’s behalf and that for being acknowledged as world-leaders in health and safety best practices. It is indeed a pleasure to extend my congratulations to His Highness Shaikh Nasser Bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Humanitarian Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Oil and Gas Holding Company (nogaholding) for his unlimited support towards this achievement and to the Chairman and Board of Directors of BANAGAS and TAWSEAH and all employees, for their dedication and commitment to Health and Safety standards enabling us to win this prestigious award”.

The Chief Executive added “It is an outstanding achievement for the Company to be recognized on a global platform, it is a testament to the employee’s work & commitment to the safety values, awareness, and full understanding of the significance of professional responsibility. The safety approach is continuously practiced in all of the Company’s facilities through a well-thought-out approach based on international standards developed by safety bodies such as The Royal Society for Prevention of Accident in the United Kingdom, the British Safety Council, the GPA Midstream Association, and the National Safety Council in United States of America.”
